What Makes You

What Makes You

She said she wanted to find her life away

From all the fog that we’ve created

She said she wanted to lose herself today

Away from screens and empty faces

Cause we’re vulture’s scavenging on life

With emaciated lives

But we’re hungry for the fountain of light

Out wakefulness waits inside

We don’t want to be jaded

We’re crystalized and sedated in this state

Cause we’re living frustrated that we’ve all complicated it our way

It’s not okay living this way

It’s not okay livin this way

He said he wanted to find his life away

From all the pills and poisons we take

He said he wanted to disconnected today

Away from all the mindless games we play

Cause were maggots savaging on life

With obese appetites

But we’re hungry for the fountain of life

Our wakefulness it waits inside

We don’t want to be jaded

We’re crystalized and sedated in this state

Cause we’re living frustrated that we’ve all complicated it our way

It’s not okay living this way

It’s not okay livin this way

What makes you think you're not really beautiful

What makes you think you're not really powerful?

She said she wanted to find her life today

He said he wanted to take life’s pain away

We don’t want to be jaded

We’re crystalized and sedated in this state

Cause we’re living frustrated that we’ve all complicated it our way

It’s not okay living this way

It’s not okay livin this way

What makes you think you're not really beautiful

What makes you think you're not really powerful?
