Shadow

Shadow

You say

And your verbal venom

Spits out of your mouth

and you point and swear and condescend as if I should be scared

But switching our lives is the only thing that would drive me to suicide

And in the end it’s always okay

Because I’m not you, I’m not you

In silence you sit and worship yourself

Wishing you were a shadow of somebody else

In silence you sit and stare at yourself

But you’re staring at a pie cuter of somebody else.

I’m glad I was shown first hand is ways

But I’m sorry for him tonights truth will be a hangover and daze

Strength traded for ignorance in the wake of a kiss

And I know now for certain ignorance isn’t bliss.

In silence you sit and worship yourself

Wishing you were a shadow of somebody else

In silence you sit and stare at yourself

But you’re staring at a pie cuter of somebody else.

Rationalizing lies because he says he loves

But it’s to late to fix the broken wings of a dove.
